Dr Kevin Cripwell

PRINCIPAL DENTIST
Dr Kevin Cripwell is the principal dentist at Glebe Hill Dental.
Originally from Queensland, Dr Kevin made the move to Hobart in 2016 after graduating from the University of Queensland with honours and has been providing dental care to the people of Hobart ever since. He also provides clinical supervision and teaching to dental students in their final year of training.
Dr Kevin’s approach to dental treatment is a professional but kind and gentle one, with solutions tailor-made to suit each patient’s needs. Although he has extensive experience in all aspects of general and family dentistry, he has a special interest in oral surgery and endodontics.
As he is a foodie at heart, when not working, Dr Kevin can be found sampling the wide variety of food and wine that Tasmania is so famous for.

Dr Melanie Yap

Dr Melanie graduated from the University of Adelaide and made the decision to move to Hobart permanently after falling in love with the friendly people, rich culture, and beautiful sights.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and strongly believes that dentistry should be practised with empathy, honesty, and open communication. After spending time with the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery teams at the Royal Hobart Hospital & Royal Adelaide Hospital, she has developed a special interest in minor oral surgery. Dr Melanie understands that visiting the dentist can be an anxious time for many people and works hard to create a relaxed environment for her patients with her humour and easy-going nature.
When not working, she can be found enjoying a good gym session or reading, and she is always on the hunt for new restaurants or brunch spots to try.

Dr Dan Chen

Dr Dan graduated from James Cook University and decided to relocate to Hobart after falling in love with Tasmania’s food, scenery, and people.
Dr Dan enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, particularly restorative dentistry, as he enjoys saving decayed teeth, getting patients out of pain, and restoring their oral health. One of his main goals is to guide patients in preventing diseases through good oral hygiene technique and diet. Outside of the clinic, he always strives to ensure his patients benefit from the most up-to-date techniques through continued dental education.
Understanding that many people can be afraid of visiting dentists, Dr Dan is enthusiastic about helping anxious patients overcome their barriers and ensuring they are treated as comfortably as possible. He has a gentle manner and is friendly to patients of all ages.
In his free time, Dr Dan can be found strumming strings at home, discovering new restaurants, or exploring Tasmania's own natural wonders and wildlife.

Laura Cowen

Laura was born in Tasmania and has lived in the Hobart area her entire life.
Having worked in the dental industry for over 12 years, Laura is passionate about providing patients with a stress-free experience whilst at Glebe Hill Dental Clinic.
With her wealth of experience Laura is an irreplaceable asset to the Glebe Hill Dental team. Her compassion, humour and friendly nature helps ensure that you will always feel well taken care of.
In her spare time Laura enjoys keeping active with pilates and hiking, exploring Hobart’s food scene, and spending time with her two cats, Miso and Eevee.
